Bada OS from Samsung will be integrated in Tizen

At least Samsung tried . Seeing itself in the top of the mobile phone producers the Asian giant thought that their own operating system would not be such a bad idea. That`s how Bada OS was born and the Wave series smartphones. To promote them , Samsung equipped them with specification similar to their top of the line Galaxy series. The price was also attractive , but the recipe was not successful . After Wave 3 , that didn`t look at all bad world wide , Samsung decided that Bada OS has no future , and that`s how Tizen jumps in the scene.

I hope you haven`t forgotten Nokia N9 , the first and last finnish smartphone that runs MeeGo, could have descendents . Tizen is the name of the operating system born from Samsung Linux Platform. It takes over many of the MeeGo main systems created in turn through the merge of Moblin from Intel and Maemo from Nokia. Tizen is open source and free , and could be a future competitior for Android.

Having names like Intel and Samsung , it is rumored that the first smartphones with the new Tizen operating system will be available in the second half of this year. The application that run on the Bada OS now will be compatibile with Tizen. Unfortunately Nokia N9 is not in the Asians plans , but maybe a skiled programmer will appear and fix this problem for Nokia.
